Terry’s Karaoke & Piano Bar was born from a dream that Daniel and Effie had, to create a space where people could come together, sing, laugh, and make memories. Inspired by their grandfather, Terry, who loved family, music, and Frank Sinatra’s My Way, they wanted to build a place that celebrates family, joy, connection, and the simple pleasure of singing together.
Named in his honour, Terry’s Karaoke & Piano Bar blends nostalgia with fun and luxury, the décor features his old records, instruments, and news articles, and the whole space carries a 60s-inspired charm.
Daniel and Effie have long loved Rye, treating it as their second home, and wanted to showcase the very best of the Mornington Peninsula. That’s why the drinks menu celebrates local wines, spirits, and beers, offering guests a taste of the region while enjoying unforgettable nights with friends, family, and neighbours.

Terry’s Karaoke & Piano Bar is a unique destination in the heart of Rye on the Mornington Peninsula. Designed for fun, connection, and a little bit of nostalgia, the venue combines private karaoke rooms with a lively piano bar, offering something for everyone.
At the front, our piano bar is open to all, you can enjoy a cocktail, sip a local wine, and join in an open singalong with our amazing pianists. You can request your favourite songs, dance, or simply sit back and soak up the atmosphere.
Out the back, our private karaoke rooms cater to groups up to 20. Each room is designed with luxury finishes, plush velvet seating, and bar service delivered straight to your room. Perfect for friends, families, small celebrations, or casual nights out, the rooms offer a premium experience while keeping the focus on fun and connection.
Guests are welcome to bring their own dinner in the Piano Bar until 8pm, pairing it with our drinks menu featuring cocktails, local wines, spirits, and beers. From the décor inspired by our grandfather Terry — with records, instruments, and 60s charm — to the joy of singing together, Terry’s Karaoke & Piano Bar is all about celebrating music, community, and shared moments.

Family Fun
Terry’s Karaoke & Piano Bar is a place for everyone of all ages! Our private karaoke rooms are available through our booking system for families and groups with kids from 12pm to 8pm, so you can enjoy singing, dancing, parties and making memories together.
Children are welcome in the piano bar until 8pm, after which the venue is for adults only, creating a safe and fun environment for all.
